In the fading light, I reach up and hold an apple in my hand. It rests there against the stars just visible through the branches. I smell its sharp-sweet flesh, sense its mystery. I’m holding life and legends in one hand.

Because God is my Shepherd, I have everything I need! He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He gives me new strength. He helps me do what honors him the most.
And now, may the peace of the gentle breezes, the peace of the singing birds, the peace of the shining sun, and the deep, deep peace of the Child of Peace be with you.
And finally, there is self-actualization which is being self-aware and focusing on fulfilling one's potential. I wonder, are your needs being fulfilled?
Come, God-for-us: who whispers in our ears that we – each of us – are beloved children. Come, God-under-us: who cradles us in arms that never grow weary; whose lap has room enough for all.
Remind us that you are with us even in the darkest of our times. Light us from within, and chase away the shadows of our fears and doubts. Help us to be beacons of light to those around us.
