Serve With Love

REMAINING FAITHFUL MESSAGE FROM REVEREND MARY WHITE

Good Afternoon and Blessings

To work for salvation is a futile undertaking.  We cannot buy our way to receiving the Creator’s graces. We are called to show the effects of our behaviour through faith and belief. We are following Jesus and trying to live out what he taught, not hoping a mystical hand will fix everything. Praying, and then through our actions, we work toward being part of the answer to prayer. Grateful that we are loved unconditionally but wanting to do our best for the One who knows what we are competent to do and knows our boundaries. Loving our neighbour as ourselves.

Stay connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Reading • James 2:15–17 (MSG)

Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really, has it? For instance, you come upon an old friend dressed in rags and half-starved and say, “Good morning, friend! Be clothed in Christ! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!” and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense?

Prayer

Challenging Creator

We are grateful for the variety of skills that others have

presented in our lives, thankful for the hard work which has fed so many for so long.

Inspire vision and grant courage to find different ways forward, learning from the past, enthusiastic for the future, compassionate in the present.

Bring together our faith and labours to generate life in its completeness where we are needed.

This we pray.

Amen
