Forgiveness

Message of the Day from Rev. Mary White

Good Afternoon and Blessings

Forgiveness is not easy for someone who has been victimized. And depending on how deeply wounded we have been, will determine how long we carry the situation within us. Unless of course we are willing to forgive. There are two parts to forgiveness: one part is in the asking and the other part is in the acceptance. We are not required to forget the incident, but we are mentally healthier to not let it stand between you. And forgiveness is unconditional which means that if there are conditions placed on it then it is not forgiveness at all, just a threat. Each time we pray the prayer of Jesus, we are asking for forgiveness and promising to forgive others

Keep safe, Keep connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

2 Corinthians 2:5-10

Forgive the Person Who Did Wrong

Someone in your group has caused sadness—not to me, but to all of you. I mean they have caused sadness to all in some way. (I don’t want to make it sound worse than it really is.) The punishment that most of your group gave is enough. But now you should forgive them and encourage them. This will keep them from having too much sadness and giving up completely. So I beg you to show that you love them. This is why I wrote to you. I wanted to test you and see if you obey in everything. If you forgive someone, then I also forgive them. And what I have forgiven—if I had anything to forgive—I forgave it for you, and Christ was with me and you.

Prayer Of The Day

Forgiving One

There are times when we all need forgiveness, and you are there ready to forgive and embrace us with Love. Bless us with the power to let go and forgive those who trespass against us. Give us the courage to approach those who have wronged us and address the situation with compassion and understanding. Help us to love others as we are loved unconditionally. We pray in the name of the One who asked from the cross that you forgive those who crucified Him.

Amen
