Rich Presence

Message of the Day from Rev. Mary White

Good Afternoon and Blessings

I am grateful for all your prayers said for my family and me. My brother is fighting to live and is on various medications for pain-increased as required-and to help him keep food down. He has bouts of depression and sleeps a lot of the time. He is but a shadow image of the strong older protective, friend and considerate brother whom I followed and clung to as a child and teen.

My brother Walter has been such a rich presence in my life. And now, I appreciate this opportunity to be present in these days of his finale life’s journey.

I wait on God, Thy will be done.

Keep safe, Keep connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Song of Solomon 8:6-8(MSG)

Hang my locket around your neck, wear my ring on your finger.
Love is invincible facing danger and death. Passion laughs at the terrors of hell.
The fire of love stops at nothing— it sweeps everything before it.
Flood waters can’t drown love, torrents of rain can’t put it out.
Love can’t be bought, love can’t be sold—
it’s not to be found in the marketplace. My brothers used to worry about me.

Prayer Of The Day

Triune One,

So long ago, you were a living gift to our ancestors who delivered Your spiritual essence through the generations. Although family is defined in many ways from individuals, to those with no blood connection, to relatives in small or large groupings, we appreciate those whom we recognize as kindred spirits. Remain in the hearts of those who care for and love us like family. Keep them safe and well we pray in the name of our Higher Power.

Amen
