Message from Light of God Ministry • Reverend Mary White
Good Day and Blessings!
As time between dawn and dusk increases, light is gradually returning. With Spring comes an overflowing of resurrecting life. Colour returns in the form of apple and cherry blossoms, in the front yard garden beds and in the greening of trees. Six tiny bunnies playfully hop in and out of the security of hedges and bees begin to stir in their hives. Children are outside more often, running, laughing, and screaming. Our Spirit expands from what seemed like a long winter season that robbed us of much needed light. But we survive to encounter another season.
All around, we experience agape Love gifted from the Creating Creator and our hearts overflow with gratitude and Love.
Keep safe, Keep connected.
With Love

The love of God has been poured out
into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
– Romans 5:5
Poured. That word indicates flowing, moving, entering a container of some kind. Have you ever poured liquid into a cup or glass and it accidentally overflowed? If so, you know how fast the liquid spreads over the area where the container stands. In Romans 5:5 what is being poured forth is divine love, a compassionate and unconditional gift that never stops filling the container. And the vessel into which it is being poured is our very own heart. What an exquisite image to carry with us as we move through our Lenten days, especially if those days hold people or situations that divert our attention away from peacefulness. What would happen if we paused and recalled this verse of Scripture and the image of God’s love flowing into us when we are frustrated, discouraged, anxious, or angry? What would happen if we envisioned this same Love overflowing the container of our hearts and spreading to others? When we remember that we are vessels of divine love, we are drawn back to our best self where kindness, patience, hope, understanding, and forgiveness reside. Then our love can spill over into the lives of others.
How does Ever-flowing Love spill over from your heart into the lives of others?

Poem: This is the Season
– by Kira Taylor
This is the season of waiting, of tipping on the edge of life: a seed planted in furrowed soil, but will it grow?
Staring at earth, pondering its riches, nostrils earth-scented in morning dew.
Waiting …
This is the season of risk, watching as the seed turns, shivers, cracks.
Praying the precious root will find purchase, and not be found.
This is the season of patience, nourishment and care.
What will follow will be bright colours, flowers and taste, the giddy harvest.
For now, in quiet, we find peace.
Now is a season of prayer, of waiting and relying, of knowing the future is in the Creator’s hands.
Forces beyond our control nurture the seed, if we let them.
This is when we depend, and are taught to depend.
A green tip will push through the earth, and we can say: we waited, we took the risk, we were patient, we prayed, we depended.

Creating Creator
You are a resurrecting force bringing new life into the world. Through the seasons You show us that life is change. Sometimes the changes come too quickly, and we need time to adjust. Give us the strength to live fully in transition times.
Saving Christ
You have shined your Light on us and have shown us the Way of Love. We are grateful for the lessons learned. We now ask for the power to reflect on the Love we have been given and project that Love beyond ourselves.
Comforting Spirit
You encircle each one with reassurance and hope for a welcoming future yet unknown to us. Grant us the courage and wisdom to trust in our Higher Power to see us safely through life’s journey.
We pray this in the name of the Triune in One.
Amen
