Remaining Faithful Message from Reverend Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings
What is your life passion? Life experiences have taught me that no matter our age at discovering our life passion, we will continue searching until it all comes to the surface. Following someone else’s desire for us will not give us a contented life. So, if your self talk is that you are too old to follow your passion, think again. In my thirties, I decided to study for an undergrad degree. My philosophy was that I could be four years older with a degree or four years older without one. Then, in my fifties, I went back to study towards another degree to become an Ordained Minister. Whether a full time or part time position, or volunteering, or learning about what is your true calling, being involved at some level will contribute to your passion, at any age.
Stay connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.
Rev. Mary
Reading • 1 Corinthians 2:9-13 (MSG)
No one’s ever seen or heard anything like this, never so much as imagined anything quite like it— What the Creator has arranged for those who love. But you’ve seen and heard it because the Spirit has brought it all out into the open before you. The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths, and brings out what is planned all along. Whoever knows what you’re thinking and planning except you yourself? We are in the know because the Creator offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that we are given. We don’t have to rely on the world’s guesses and opinions. We didn’t learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through the Spirit, and we’re passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way.
Prayer
The blessing of the quiet earth,
upholding you, strengthening you.
The blessing of the wind that blows,
inspiring you, exciting you.
The blessing of the fire that burns,
warming you, refining you.
The blessing of the water that flows,
delighting you, refreshing you.
The blessing of the God of life,
whom we come to know in Christ,
and who lives in us through the Spirit,
be yours this day, and always.
Amen
