Good Afternoon and Blessings from Rev. Mary White
It feels so right coming together in community. Our spirits are uplifted seeing all the smiles on happy faces.
We do need each other after so much time apart. Yes, we tend to adapt to situations that over time becomes comfortable and part of our traditional way of being. But we have caring hearts and compassion for those who have been missing in our lives and there is no better way to have that sense of belonging than meeting in person with our family in faith.
If able get your vaccinations, it truly is liberating.
Until we gather again: Serve with Love
Reading • 2 Corinthians 1:12-14 (MSG)
Now that the worst is over, we’re pleased we can report that we’ve come out of this with conscience and faith intact, and can face the world—and even more importantly, face you with our heads held high. But it wasn’t by any fancy footwork on our part. It was God who kept us focused, uncompromised. Don’t try to read between the lines or look for hidden meanings in this letter. We’re writing plain, unembellished truth, hoping that you’ll now see the whole picture as well as you’ve seen some of the details. We want you to be as proud of us as we are of you when we come together during worship service.
Prayer
Creating Creator
Where there is generosity and mercy and love, you are there.
When exclusion from community was the only remedy, and isolation and prevention of contact the only cure, our commitment to our faith family never wavered. Give us strength of spirit to trust that we will remain safe, and may we continue to stay faithful as we come together in communion for weekly services.
Be with us during our transitional time of moving from isolation to worshiping all together again, we pray.
Amen
