In the fading light, I reach up and hold an apple in my hand. It rests there against the stars just visible through the branches. I smell its sharp-sweet flesh, sense its mystery. I’m holding life and legends in one hand.
Weekly Message from Brenda Pielle for Family Fun: “Spring has sprung, the grass has “riz” (risen), I wonder where the birdie is? The bird’s upon the wing, but that’s absurd, the wing’s upon the bird!”
May our days be filled with grace and truth in the possibility that we can move forward in hope. Help us cherish that you are closest to us when we are feeling most vulnerable.

Learn where there is wisdom, where there is strength, where there is understanding, so that you may at the same time discern where there is length of days, and life, where there is light for the eyes, and peace.
Take some time out from your day and contemplate the deeper purpose of life with Rev. Mary White from Powell River United Church. Everyone is welcomed with love.
May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvellous love; and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is.
We are grateful for this gift of life, for the gift of our faith family, for challenges that stir our placidness, for the joys and laughter that brighten our days.
If you have a quiet space to sit quietly then do so for 20 minutes to start. If your mind begins to drift, focus on your breathing. This will help you to be calm and relaxed.
May we know your love and share it with our neighbours. May we find peace in knowing that all we are experiencing in these days of what seems like exile will not last forever.
